Public Meeting: January 2019

In response to growing concern about local crime and anti-social behaviour, Cllr Mark Sugden proposed and got unanimous backing from the Parish Council last Thursday, 10th January, to facilitate a Public Meeting. This was seen as an opportunity to assess the degree of the problem and gauge the depth of concern amongst our community and demonstrate this concern to our local police. It would also serve as an ideal opportunity to assess the relaunch a Neighbourhood Watch scheme.

Subsequent events when two teenagers, one of which is a Claygate resident, were subject to an attack near Hinchley Wood station has prompted us to arrange this meeting as soon as possible. Our thoughts and prayers are with these boys and their families and friends.

We will let you know the date and venue of the Public Meeting when it is confirmed. In the meantime you have the opportunity to meet with local police outside the Co-Op between 11.30 and 12.30 on Tuesday, 15th.
